Al Thanyah Fifth is an established administrative district in central-west Dubai, covering roughly 10 sq. km between Sheikh Zayed Road, Hessa Street, Al Khail Road, and Al Jamayel Street. Several better-known residential communities fall within this wider district, including Jumeirah Lake Towers, Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Islands, and Jumeirah Heights. Older property records may refer to the district as Emirates Hills First, its former official name.
Housing changes considerably from one part of Al Thanyah Fifth to another. JLT has high-rise apartments, offices, lakeside paths, restaurants, and direct Metro connections, while Jumeirah Park and Jumeirah Islands are centered on larger family homes, private gardens, and lower-density streets.
