A closer look
The first neighbourhood in the UAE built to cultivate creativity. A community that’s alive, never complete and constantly being reimagined by its inhabitants.
Rather than just a set of buildings, Makers District is built from a set of relationships shared by the creative people who call it home – the people who exchange ideas, inspire and become inspired. Who show, grow and live a life beyond four walls.

This innovative 18-hectare masterplan development on Reem Island has been designed to cultivate culture and creativity through residential, hospitality, commercial and retail spaces in a waterfront community. Created by IMKAN, it captures the collaborative spirit of the millennial mindset.
With inspiration around every corner, staying at home is harder than ever at Pixel. Residents are encouraged to look beyond the four walls of their intelligently-designed living spaces and explore a neighbourhood designed for the kind of chance encounters that knit communities together, spark ideas and invite new conversations.
Reem Island’s first accessible beach is a lot more than your average patch of sand. It’s 300m of coastline that you can claim as yours to kick back. Or kick it up a notch. Or even kick off new projects.
Soak up the sunshine and work up a sweat at the new Makers Padel Courts. Experience the hottest game around in style with state-of-the-art equipment and four courts, all conveniently located in Al Reem Island’s stunning Makers District.
Our partners share our passion for research-led innovation and designing around people. Together, we’re using our expertise to change the way you live, work, create, collaborate and celebrate.
